Teaching in an all digital world comes with a bit of a learning curve! Have you tried digital whiteboards? What is great about these products is that they can help you teach AND can be used by students to demonstrate their learning. There are lots of options, here are 3 that are readily available, easy to use and are FREE. Teacher trifecta! |
Why it's great: No logins, easy to get a board for whole class, private student boards and a math editor.
Challenges: Private student boards lacks collaboration.
Superpower: Looking for class participation? You can save all class session whiteboards, including yours, into one PDF. (Ticket out the door? So many options!)
Watch it in action, but definitely go to the site for more information too.
You will need a Google account, log in and look to your apps. It's in there!
Why it's great: Collaborate with anyone and everyone and a math editor.
Challenges: Google and Cobb don't always play nice - no known issues yet though!
Superpower: It's Google, comes with inherent superpowers.

You will need to download this from Software center, same for students.
Why it's great: Integrates with Office 365 products like Teams Meetings.
Challenges: Cloud based, but also an app with more features ~ this can get confusing.

Have you heard of Office Lens?! I'll admit I had not. It's been around for a while and was selected by Google as one of the best apps in 2015. (FIVE years ago!)
It is CRAZY awesome (mainly based on how simple it is) and way more than a 'personal scanner' ~ it also converts documents into different files (you know that new iPhone .heic picture extension? solved!) and can integrate with all these white boards. Absolutely worth taking a look at. Click the checklist below for the video.
